Default Accessory outlet

Hello,

First post here. I searched the forums with no luck. I have an 03 Outlander with an accessory outlet or lighter outlet that no longer works. The outlet itself may be toast, but the power wire to the outlet is dead. The lighter fuse behind the coin door, drivers left, is not blown. Is there any other place to look for a fuse or a source of power for this wire? I've read of others with this problem with no solution. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

Bill

Never mind! Found it. There are two fuses. One in the cabin fuse block, behind the coin compartment, for the cigarette lighter, and another in the engine compartment fuse block, for the accessory socket.

Yep, the 15 amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse block #25 - Accessory socket was blown. Has happened several times. The socket is bad. Thinking of just swapping out the socket in the rear of the car because I never use that anyway.

beetlenut: I want to give you a huge thanks. I just had this same issue happen and had no idea that fuse in the engine compartment was to the accessory socket. I checked the wiring, the fuse under the driver side and they were good. I was at a loss. I was inches away from having to take it in when voila. I saw your post and checked fuse block#25 in the engine compartment. Problem solved. I'm so pumped up.
