Additional Tail-lights to act as brake lights?
Hi Guys, anyone saw any accesories that replaces the mock tail-lightswith actual working tail-lights? It would be perfect if we are ble to wire it up to work as additional brake lights!

Thats funny that they did that, because originally I thought there were lights in those when I bought the car. When I turned on the lights at night I then noticed there was nothing in there. I'm suprised they did this as LEDs are relatively cheap.

That will look very sweet. So no-one has come out with a replacement part to make it work like a brake light?
Mannnnn... I would so buy that if they have it.

Well, apparently theres a market for it... so why dont one of you fabricate it up, ebay some red LEDs and a set of stock tails.. then sell em back on ebay for twice the cost!

It's quite easy to do, at least with Gen 1 Outties.
I did the single High intensity LED thing, took out the lenses from the bumper, which turn out to be empty shells. (yeah, why not fit a couple of lamps in the factory?)
Then a small hole in the back of the lens (where a globe would normally be) and fit an LED with resistor in line. Sealed up with silicone, wired into the brake light circuit and presto!
Looks great, but thats just my opinion. By the way, definitely go the eBay option - I just got 50 high intensity 10mm Amber LED's (for more bling on the Outtie) for about AUS$25 including postage. The retail on these is $3 each!

Rear LED brake lights (beside the bumper reflectors.

Another example of LED's, Inside this time.

Front LED's in grille, lower bumper, and under the roofrack!
