hey i was just wondering if anybody out there has found a dash kit for a 2007 outlander im hoping to place a clarion double din dvd system in there or if the only way is to get the dash piece from the manufacter. thanks

 

Read a few topics hereyou will find at least 2, with pictures even.

 

It exists (OEM), but only in Japan. You might get it but it will cost almost similar, or even more than the Clarion stuff you're putting into it (price+shipping+taxes+horrible markups). Or you might wait a little longer for 3rd party to fill in the void.

 

ive done it, no aftermarkets yet, only OEM check mine out and then ask yourself if its worth the over 200 bucks for it. for me it was well worth it.

About your radio installation, how did you connect your radio ? directly on the original wires ? maybe did you make or buy an adapter ?

I want to install my Pioneer Avic-X1 in my Outlander 07 but i search if i need an adapter to connect and install it and more i search the double or simple din element to replace the original radio like this product (from japan mitsubishi site)

There's a little discussion about this topic back here from when I went through it. Same basic results as 07mivec with the OEM dash panel for $150.

AFAIK, there is still no aftermarket wire harness available to splice in easily. There are a few notes in that thread about what wires you can tap into - but I ended up with some crappy pictures of the harnesses.

Also, no one has had luck getting their hands on that part you show in the pictures... it would be great if we could! Don't let me stop you from trying, and post back if you have any luck. First person to find something like that, or a wiring harness gets a gold star! Someone's gotta make one sooner or later.
