I actually bought after market. Bad news is that you have to drill holes on the back of the bumper. There is no solid mounting points for after market fog lights. I eventually went OEM, again bad news you have to pay extra for the dealer to program your Fogs or else it won't turn on!

always go OEM because if you play with Wired, Say bye bye 10 years Warranty on your car.

Thanks guys, I agree, going OEM is the best way to go. From what I understand most of the wiring is already there. Plug, program and then play.

I installed the factory fogs in my outlander 2007, Then put HID's in them. My car has normal halogens. When I tried to install HID's into the low beams, I got the usual strobing issue. Instead of running a bypass, I install the fog lamp kit and put the HID's in those. Looks pretty awesome.

your entire warranty cannot be voided because of adding after market fog lights, at least not in the US. If you put an aftermarket K&N air filter and your rear tailgate bracket breaks, the bracket is still under warranty.

Some Mitsubishi OEM parts are way overpriced!! This is the case with the Fog lights. $250 dollars for fog light kit. $80+ for mudflaps? over $150 for the bluetooth module? ROBBERY.
