Summer gets hot.. Towing will increase the temp fast and we have hills galore here so I don't want to weaken the transmission.. I'd say its cooler is built into the radiator like most

you don't have the small radiator that is in front of the driver's side (here in the states) wheel? I remember a thread a while back where you said your '05 G-spec is like our '07+ generation.

Don't even bother with a temp valve. Run it in conjunction with the oe cooler, or get a larger size and block off the oe cooler.

I would run one with the oe cooler, but that's just me.

Out from the oe cooler, in to the external and out to the transmission.

It's definitely on my list of things to do... especially for the CVT.

The external one goes behind the driver side (passenger side in New Zealand) fog light. You can see it clearly (if present) from the air inlet below the fog light.

Nothing here...

or here?

If I was worried regarding transmission overheating while towing in the mountains or in slow traffic I'd install a fan in front of transmission radiator.
