Default Ait Conditioner Problem - 2010 Outlander

Has anyone experienced any problems with the A/C? It used to work very well but now it just blows hot air. I'm planning on taking it to the dealership but wanted to see if this was a common problem with the car.

I 've been on this forum for some time now and as far as I know there are no problems with the A/C.

My 2007 xls a/c compressor is starting to make noises when clutch is engaged. Still blowing cold air however. Already out of warranty..just expecting imminent failure forthcoming.

That's normal. It sounds like a mini pressure washer and creates a "clunk" sound when it engages.

Mitsubishi got a bad set of compressors from the distributor. It causes a leak and the freon leaks out. We had ours replaced in our 2010 GT. That was about 4 months ago. We must have got a bad one again, as our AC is again on the blink. I'm pretty sure there is a Service Bulletin on the issue, but I'm having trouble finding it...

I have noticed if the AC is on and the car is parked, the AC seems to be fairly loud outside the car....anybody else notice this?

Default A/C in 2010 Outlander

My A/C is crazy! Sometimes the air gets stuck on the floor so my feet freeze and my top is sweaty. When I put the setting on feet it comes out at the windshield, etc.

Carrie, I looked at the service manual for my 2007, so likely yours is very similar if not identical, and the vent doors are controlled by a motor instead of vacuum lines. Take that 2010 to the stealership and have them dig into it.

On another note, we noticed that our '07 was blowing warmer air...especially when at idle. Took it into firestone and had them check the charge...we were low. It isn't too low yet, so we'll get it fixed for next summer when money will be a bit easier to come by.

Default Cold and Hot air

My 07 LS has cold air coming from the driver side vents and warm air coming from the passenger side vents. I think there must be an actuator or something the changes what comes thru those vents. Any idea what it is and where the actuator might be?
