Default Annoying beeping

Hi, I'm sure I've seen this posted on here somewhere but can't now find it and in any event no answer was posted so not much help. I have suddenly started getting a beeping noise I've not heard before from the area of the SatNav/Media display area. It is one long and four short beeps. It only seems to occur when starting up and when starting off or travelling very slowly, eg in heavy traffic. No it's not parking or proximity sensors, which sound different, it's not LDW or seat belt warning. I've spoken to a 2 or 3 mechanics, none of whom can tell me what it might be. Before I actually have to take it in to a Mitsubishi dealership (now some way away) can anyone help with what this might be. I know a table of what the various beeps was posted (although again I can't now find it) but it wasn't on there.

Thanks but no because (a) it wasn't icy yesterday and (b) there is a light comes up on the dash for ice threat. I have now found the previous query about this sequence of beeps on another forum and the suggestion seems to be a loose front parking sensor, although I'm not convinced as I've had that before. Any other ideas please?

I found this thread (with the same symptoms in the PHEV forum. Although it did not offer an obvious solution but it is likely linked to your SAT-NAV unit. Check whether it occurs while approaching a curve ahead and you are traveling faster than advisable. According to my readings one long beep should warn you for this. People, who have navigation unit may verify this or prove me wrong. If this ia the case you are supposed to see a small triangle on the screen. It might be perfectly normal response of the navigation unit or an error in this very same detection mode (approaching a curve too fast).
