I have a 2007 Outlander with what my mechanic called a failed ETAC for the front wipers , we tested all of the wiper motors and the switch from the column and no dice out of the etac to the wiper motor , he didnt have a mut III to bypass the relay in the etac , but from what I have heard is you can ByPass the etac ? Any Help on this would be greatly appreciated .

Do you have rain sensitive wipers?


I have the Actia tool with ETACS Decoder. Not sure if you can "bypass" the relay via the etacts. I can program it to

Normal INT
Variable INT
Speed sensitive
Rain sensitve

(above when the column switch is in the on position)

Did you test all of the wiper related relays? check for proper resistances to ground from the column switch? Even try pulling the battery out for a few minutes to reset the system?
