Default 2011 Outlander Tire Sizes

I have a 2011 Outlander LS (canada) with a V6.

I have winter tires on the factory 16" rims that are stock at 215/70/R16.

I am considering going to a 17" rim and tire, and was wondering if I could go a bit wider, and if it would affect the performance of the vehicle in a negative way? Also would it affect gas mileage or wear, or void warranty? And can I get away with it without any rubbing?

1010tires.com says I can choose a 215/65/R17, but I'd like it to be a bit wider than stock, I think it would look better.

My V6 Outlander GT has 18" rims. While I am not 100% sure, it would not surprise me if you could use OEM GT rims on your car, or similar.

If you go with aftermarket, you might need to get hub spacers.

Heres my experience with aftermarket wheels

https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/mi...nder-gt-43654/

Most aftermarket wheels I looked at had a larger offset than the stock 38mm, so there shouldn't be a problem on the inner fender.

The bolt pattern is a popular one for many makes of cars so aftermarket wheels are plentiful.
