Default Pics of Aftermarket Wheels on my 2013 Outlander GT

Ordered some aftermarket wheels almost immediately after getting my 2013 GT home and finally got them installed today. Compared to the stockers they are:

18" vs 18" in dia
8" vs 7" wide
45mm vs 38mm offset
20.1lbs vs ??? weight/each

Ill have to wait till Monday to get a weight on the 18" stockers for comparison, but you can feel a difference just lifting them by hand.

No problems with the wider wheels or the offset. Check at full droop and bump with the wheel locked full right with no interference.

Tires were simply switched over from the stockers as they had less than 500 miles on them. An 8" rim is a more natural fit for a 225 anyways.

Default looks great!

I just got a 2010, in white just like yours. The black rims look great. I was thinking on getting a set, this really made the decision for me!

I love the black and white. Any plans to tint the front windows? I did my front sides matched to the rear windows (White Outlander Sport) and I, personally, think it looks great. In your case, I think it would even better with the whole B&W "theme" you have going. Either way, looks awesome.

Im glad it helped, thats the whole reason I posted some pics. I searched and searched then finally used my remedial Photoshop skills to get some idea of what it would look like. In the end I just had to take a leap of faith.

Thanks!

I dont know if aftermarket tint has progressed, but the last time i had some applied back in 2006 I was not impressed. It started to turn blueish purple after about 2 years and scratched easily. How did you go about matching it (color and darkness) and how close did it turn out?

Mine is almost an exact match. The key to tint is you get what you pay for. Cheap materials or cheap labor and it won't hold up. A good 3M Brand film installed at a reputable shop will give you excellent results.

Tint the front, will look way better. I like the wheels though. Its not hard for them to match the tint. Just remind them to put felt because outies scratch...
