If I am not mistaken , my dad had a set on his three quarter ton diesel and they were horrible in the winter.

Yeah, I have heard that.

Anyone have ideas on wet traction and hydroplaning with that tire?

TOYO Proxes 4 are great in wet (in freelander). No scapes and good traction. One of the best tires that control hydroplaning; Actually designed to that purpose. i´ll try then in my outlander. Of course, they are very bad in off road!!
