for the 07-13 outlanders do you recommend putting the baby seat (rear facing infant one) on the center seat or the side seats with latch.
It seems with the center one I have to use the belt in the special mode but.. the outside seats with latch, it makes the front seat move forward really far.
Center might be safer anyway, I am not putting behind my seat, because I need to sit properly, but behind the passenger side, is most likely how accidents happen, turn left intersection and another car run a light hitting passenger side.

Hi, I have the 08 XLS. Our baby seat (Britax boulevard) is on the rear passenger side. This allows me to fold the other 40% of the rear seats if necessary. It is safer to install it in the middle, but then you really make sitting on either side uncomfortable for long trips. It's also easier for my wife to place baby in her seat on the passenger side, this is also the side next to the sidewalk
. The Outlander has more than enough leg room in the rear, even with the front driver seat completely pushed back.
Congrats on the new addition to your family
, and the sleepless nights to come!
