Hope this works out for you.....stand yr ground...be firm and don't let them get away with anything that seems weird to you. They should just be happy to still have people buying their cars...gee wiz man!

Well. They have a Mitsubishi rep coming in to take a look at the rim. They can obviously see that it is bent but told me because there is an aftermarket tire on it that may change things. So my thought is before the rep comes in later this week I am going to have the new tire put on one of the non-bent rims. Having to deal with the dealership is definately a pain...

Cross your fingers,
Angie

Oh yeah, of course...they bent the rim when they mounted the tire...how silly of us to forget that...lol
Damn, they just try to get you every time. Why are you putting a new tire on the strainght rim before the rep arrives? But, in their defense, how does one bend a rim without hitting something. I beat the hell out of my car for a few months...dirt, rocks, mud, etc and my rims are still straight. Hmmm, keep us posted.

Probably the regional service manager on his monthly visit coming to check it out. Anything other than that seems like a waste of resources on their end... give the new rim and eat the $100 it costs them or send a rep and pay $150 plus travel. But at least they can deny a claim. The mentality is so screwey sometimes.

See, that's why we are not customer service managers. We must always try to refute the customers claim to show it is not our superior product causing the failure. But then the customer experience sucks so bad they don't want to buy another one because of all the hassle over a freakin burned out fuse or something stupid...in this case a bent rim. They probably already spent $3-400 just processing this damn claim and arranging reviews, etc. Jeesh.
