install it your self!! it is very easy. Download the manual on this forum for help. But if not

Take the cables off the battery.

lift from the bottom on the 2 vents next to the radio. (use a flat head if need be, but if you can get it without a screwdriver)

Take out the screws holding the radio in.

Unplug everything on the radio (connectors are all different sizes, but take a picture if you are worried)

Look in and down. BOOM, there is the bluetooth module. Plug and play bro.

I'm worried about the Bluetooth module version being outdated for my new phone does anyone know about using a third party module that would work with my current Mitsubishi system?

There are two different versions - FUSE one and non-FUSE one.
They are not interchangeable.

FUSE means more BT functions available (BT streaming, address book) and USB.

If you still have stock 2008 radio/navi - you need older non-FUSE one.

Would you guys recommend spending the $400.00 and going with a replacement of the Non-Fuse Bluetooth Module and risking the chance of my new HTC One Max phone not working with it or Second option installing a new bluetooth Standalone add on?

I spend a little extra and buy the parrot android navigation. It is like an android tablet as your in dash. Get an install kit plus wheel contol module and your set. Probably around 500

My next car will have an android powered in dash

I was checking the mitsubishicars.com support site for compatible devices and noticed they had added my device the htc one max but the one difference is that the one they list is for verizon i have sprint service my question is does it matter which provider you have? All the phones show verizon is anyone using the phones on the list with a different network provider?

I use a listed phone, but with Canadian FIDO as provider, which is not listed by Mitsubishi anywhere that I can find. The phone pairs and works perfect.

Since you already have the phone, just try it out and see what happens.
