Default "bong bong" noise

OK this might seem petty but the Outie gives a warning noise for just about anything. Headlights and seatbelts I can understand, but when i'm washing/cleaning the interior i want to have the radio on and I cant do it because the stupid noise is going off.

Does anyone know how to turn it off?

And have the ignition on the whole time? Hopefully there is a better way.

Default have a look at the dash

I have no idea if this would work, but often if there is a warning on the center display, it can be turned off by pushing and holding the display control button for 3 seconds. worth a look. Maybe it'll stop dinging as well.

No, mine doesn't do that.

Mine has 4 spots. (I would think they all would, but maybe some do not)

LOCK (everything off)

ACC (Turns on the electrical stuff, but has the dinging, or bong noise)

ON (All the electrical stuff is on, but with no dings or bongs)

START (Starts the car, then falls back the ON position)

Yes mine will be the same. The "ON" position you mention means the ignition will be on. The vehicle wont be running, but that part of the electrical system is energised. It's not good for the ignition system and flattens your battery quicker. At least that's how it is traditionally.

Ok, got yeah...

Unfortunately, there is no way to disable the bongs and dings in the ACC position.

Yeah that would probably work too but it's just a workaround. I was hoping someone has been able to access the BCM and could disable it from there.

It's even more annoying if you are carrying something that doesn't fit and the rear is opened during stop and go traffic. It literally does it for a few seconds every time you start/stop.
