I just found this on eBay - I think that I might just get one for the hell of it!

I hate these things I make fun of people all the time for putting them on their hood and not putting the holes through the hood for functionality.

Unless it converts my intake system into a ram air system (wich it already is because it scoops of the fornt) then no thanks. Although some vents like the one seen in the hood of the evolander wouldnt hurt, verry subttle and looks practical.

My friends FIL as part of his mid life crisis bought a 2005 mustang convertible. My friend being the geek that he is and knows nothing about cars was telling me how cool it was because it had a hood scoop.

I popped open the hood and was like Duuuude its like fake, look no hole. Doh.. Same with the little intakes on the side for supposed brake coolers. Way to go ford!

I would say a lot of them are fake, so if you like the style, go for it!

I would really like to relocate the air intake from the front of the hood to in the centre, fit one of these for airflow.
My reasoning? I cannot getan off-road snorkel to suit the Outtie, so I figure that by relocating the air intake centrally on the hood, any water that comes up against the front of the car during creek crossings has to travel a longer path beefore even coming close to the air intake.

Does that make any sense at all?! Maybe all pipe dreams.....

Then again, I just wish I could afford the shipping costs from Europe to get hold of one of these! (just the hood)
