Default Brand new here with a 12 vold outlet question

Hello all. I just signed up today. I am looking to save my 72 year old Father from having to drive 90 miles into the city in Missouri and spending a ton of money on a likely easy fix. He always goes to the dealer and I don't think this one is complicated.
I am in southern California so I can't poke around to check fuses and such.
His 07 Outlander works great. His problem is the 12v power outlet on the dash no longer powers up his GPS. That is all he uses the socket for.
The other one between the seats will power up his GPS but then he has the cord to deal with.
Knowing him he will travel into town and waste a day there. He has bad feet and can't be on them too long.

Can anybody tell me if there is a separate fuse that only runs this outlet? Everything else in the car works normal.

BTW my Dad was an electrical tech in the Navy and McDonnel Douglas. He is just not as physically able as he used to be. If this isn't an easy fix, I won't suggest he try it himself.

Please help if you can.
Thanks,

Tony

Thank you. I got my Dad to do some poking around and he found that the socket does work. It is just getting loose from high use. The contacts don't always make contact unless he turns the plug a certain way.

Thanks again for the info.
Tony
