Bridgestone Ecotech tires

Thought I'd put this out there. We recently wore out our Bridgestone Alenza tires and needed a new set. Hydroplaning is no fun. The best we could eek out of the Alenza was 24.5MPG @ 70MPH.
We sprung for the Bridgestone Ecopia tires since they were that brand's low rolling resistance tire. Wow, do they work well. At 70MPH with cruise control on what seemed level road (Highway 71 south of Kansas City, MO), I was hovering between 28.5-29.5MPG. Hilly region still sucked the gas, but that only dropped to 25 area.
The only con I noticed was a spongy feel. It may have been the difference of going from worn tires to new tires...but it just felt a bit spongy. Not unsafe, but it definitely wasn't sporty.

I just put on Bridgestone Ecopia's, is that what you're referring to? If so, I agree that they are a noticeable improvement over the stock tires as far as rolling resistance & MPG's.
I will second the "spongy" description, and I'll also add that they are pretty crappy and slid a lot in a rapid stop. I had traffic come to a halt out of nowhere the other day, and I was less than impressed by how much I slid. I think I'm hoping for too much out of a passenger car economy oriented tire though, lol.
