Default Broken A/C buttons on center console.

Hi all. New to the forum here. I made a big mistake by leaving the sunroof open and sleeping in while my '08 outlander that I park outside got filled with rainwater. It fried the buttons on the stereo (and thankfully didn't leak in on to the box), but unfortunately seemed to have gotten just the A/C control buttons (the ***** when turned still work).

I'm not sure if rainwater got into the ***** or not but was wondering if anybody had a nifty disassembly or breakout diagram that would help in taking it out to diagnose it.

Any other tips or suggestions that you guys might have are welcomed. Any help is great appreciated! Thanks.

To remove the A/C panel you have to remove all the panels around it including the stero. That means the panel under the steering wheel, transmission cover (and the 3 panels surrounding it) which finally lets you remove the bottom panel that covers the A/C *****. After removing that, you can finally unscrew the A/C panel. It's about a 3 hour job, I did it when upgrading to automatic A/C from manual.
