Default Bug when playing files from USB?

I just picked up a new 2011 Outlander ES w/ the Rockford Fosgate system in it. This includes the USB connector in the arm rest. Pretty cool, you can just plug a regular USB memory stick into it with some MP3s on it, and it plays them no problem.

However, there *is* a problem. If you use the control ***** on the stereo, you can select the files you want to play based on the artist. I'll do that, and listen to a couple songs by Artist A... And then decide I want to change to another artist. When I try to do that is when the problem occurs. I'll select Artist, and then choose Artist B, and then it will ask what album, so I'll choose the album - but then, rather than showing me a list of songs from the album I chose by Artist B, it will show the list of songs from the album I'm currently listening to by Artist A! If I let the selection timeout (keep listening to the same tracks I'm listening to by Artist A), and then do the whole thing again to select an album by Artist B, it'll work fine and it will pop up the correct tracks from Artist B. So it seems like something about the second time though makes it find the right files.

Has anybody run into this? I'm pretty sure I'm not doing anything wrong, but I wanted to see if there's a fix for it (maybe a firmware upgrade that I can do). Thanks!!

haven't really looked into the kind of problem you're encountering.

but i do have a different bug, that's kind of annoying. whenever i turn off and start the engine again the playlist from my usb goes back to the first album in the usb file and not where i left of. have you encountered this with playing songs from the usb?

Yeah, I haven't had that problem. It might be something having to do with how you have files loaded? Or are you removing the memory stick when you turn off the car? It seems as though the system is sort of buggy, I've had a couple other problems as well. I'm trying to look into software updates, but who knows...

i just copy the files from my laptop to the usb (per album), just like how i normally would copy files to other media device. and no, im not removing the usb drive stick when i turn off the car, it just stays there. i might have to call in the dealership if i cant get a definite fix/answer on this.

how are you getting along with your bug?
