Default bumpers are like tupperware

I accidently backed into a co-workers car last week and the back passenger side bumper is pushed in. I wasn't even going that fast (maybe like 3 mph) and now all the body shop can do is replace the whole bumper(stupid price). It's not a small dent that I can use those gadgets on TV. I popped out the reflector light on the bumper hoping to get some leavage to pull with one of the screw holes. Didn't work. Does anyone know what I could use to pull it out with? Is heat the trick? It's a tight squeeze to get under and push it out. If anyone has any suggestions, it's very much appreciated.

Hey 03, the urethane bumpers are kinda flimsy...don't let the body shop rape you on a new bumper replacement..check out the link from ebaymotors below..it has exactly what you need for your Outtie and it's at a good starting price..

You could try removing the cover and pushing out from behind. Using a heat gun may help the process.

Most honest body shops will be able to repair the impression unless the cover is cracked badly.
