Picked up my new Outlander yesterday and it wont pair my Xperia Z3 to the bluetooth in the car. Just says Registration failed.

Connects an iphone totally fine.

Default Solved. Use voice control not mmcs

Tried for an hour. Almost gave up.
Then read somewhere to try the voice control not the mmcs screen.

So, press the call button on your steering wheel. Go into settings, pairing, say a code zero zero zero zero...
then, scan bluetooth devices on your phone - it will finally see the outlander hands free and let you connect.

It works, but highlights what an utter, unusable piece of cr@p mmcs is.

I'm having the same issue -- attempted twice to create a new thread (no pics) with no luck.

Default Bluetooth pairing problem

I have a Outlander GX model, when attempting to pair - the car states the list of options but when I state "SETUP" it doesn't hear me and cuts off? Any ideas?

Default Bluetooth Pairing

2010 Mitsubishi Outlander ES
This is a non navigation model, but may also work on models with navigation.

Push call or speak button on steering wheel.
After beep say"Setup",
After beep say "pairing options".
After beep say "pair".
Say a 4 digit code when prompted.
Select HANDS FREE SYSTEM from device list.
Enter 4 digit code on device when prompted.
Should be good to go after that.

I don't think I missed any options, but if I did just follow instructions given by vehicle.
