Default Cargo space dimensions

I'm looking to fit a foldable hockey net inside a 2009 outlander that I don't have yet. Since the net is flat, there is no depth to the net when folded so the dimension of the net is 60 inch x 40 inch. I looked at some basic blueprints of the exterior but I want some better numbers. Is the width about 44 inch and the depth around 40 in? I'm planning to angle it 45 degrees so the net leans over the passenger seats. I must have 5 seating, will not be folding down the 3. In order words, will a 60 x 40 in cardboard fit in the cargo without seats folded? Thanks

I have an 08 ES Outlander and the rough measurements I got was about 38 inches wide at the narrowest point and 43 inches at the widest point. If you angle the net when putting it in you have about 45 inches at the opening of the cargo area. However it's only about 38 inches deep with the 2nd row seats in place so you would have about a 22 inch hangover the 2nd row seats.

Now if you folded the 2nd row seats and angled the net when putting it in you should get the 60 inches deep you need.

why dont you just make a net that is collapsible or that can be broken down into a few basic parts: the stanchions the bottom frame and the top frame and then the spine. seems a lot easier then buying a car and trying to wrestle it in and out all the time
