Show music metadata from iPhone

Hi

Does anybody know if MMCS in a Outlander 2011 (European) can show music metadata from e.g iPhone?
I have installed beta iOS5 and there this feature is available, but nothing is showing up in the display.

It is my understanding that iOS 4 and later is not compatible with the head unit.
