Default Challenger 4m40 vs 6g72 - Engines

Hi All,

I am William from Tanzania - East Africa. I have always used Mitsubishi in my life and my first car was: Mitsubishi Nativa, Mitsubishi Pajero. I would want to buy Mitsubishi Nativa again, but it is impossible to get them in Tanzania and Japan.

My second option would be: Mitsubishi Challenger as the body looks the same. I would always prefer 4m40 engines, but they are a bit expensive and I WILL have to pay more tax in my country, now my Questions are:

- Is there a very huge difference in the two engines in terms of fuel consumption and durability?
- Can I change from 6G72 to 4m40 in future? should I need to do that as there are so many 4m40 engines to buy? is it too much work to swap?

Thank you in advance for the help,

Regards.

William.
