Cheap Performance Testing
Just figured I would share this with everyone. For those of you looking for a cheap way of testing your cars performance and don't feel like paying for a Dyno run every time you do a modification Dynolicious is a nice cheap alternative. Field testing shows that it is pretty close to being perfect when it comes to a comparison to a run on a Dyno. Field test video and compare to the G-Tech.
I compared it myself to a professional Dyno compare and its very close to being spot on.
Dynolicious runs on the iPhone and iPod Touch and has a cost of $12.99
More information on it can be found here Dynolicious
Total cost including the purchase of a iPod Touch to run it on is less then $250 compared to $199 for the G-Tech SS which is basically a piece of junk.
you can purchase the Dynolicious software in the Apple App store or by clicking here
A note for proper readings make sure you calibrate the unit. Horsepower reading you need to have a weight of the car entered that is as close to possible as being correct. The curb weight of the car isnt going to cute it. So jump in your ride as it normally sits for when you do your testing and get it on a scale (hint most dumps and scrap yards have scales the measure the weight of what your brining in with you). Redo your weight when ever you add new mods to your car!
