I'd say that could well be the case
Looks to me like the next Outlander redesign. At this point Mitsubishi is still testing the waters for response on the new grille and exterior styling. It worked well for the Lancer and Evo, and they just toyed with the idea of a CUV version.
ASX Concept -> Gen 1 Outlander
Pajero 2+2 Concept -> Gen 2 Outlander
Concept-cX -> Gen 3 Outlander (?)

I personally like the current style grill on our CUV's, its got hints of lancer/evo but with a masculin feel to it that an SUV should have, its a perfect blend in my opinion. As far as the concept, it looks too small for an outlander replacement of any kind, theres barelly no room past the 2nd row! I dont think there is much of a market for that small of a CUV.
*Edit* actually, after analizing it a bit more, I'd say that a mini cooper was included in that "one too many beers incident" lol.
