Default CV Axle Diagnosis

I hear popping and clicking in my front end and I know it is coming from one of my CV axles. Also when I get around 70 miles an hour it feels like the front end is slightly looser and wants to float a little bit from one direction to another but its not totally constant though. Is there a quick way to check and figure out which drive axle is making the popping and clicking? I don't see any visible tears in the boots and there's not any movement when I pull and shake on the drive axle. Also when I change this do I need to change the inner seal where the drive axle goes into the CVT and will I need to have some extra diaqueen CVT fluid on hand or will I not lose more than a quart? I have almost new tires that have proper air pressure and have already been rotated once so I know that is not where the side to side movement is coming from.
