I happened to see this item when browsing a magazine rack:

"Watch for Mitsubishi to bring about a diesel Outlander some day."
Interesting item (and nothing more besides that). However, I'll believe it when I see it.

 

Diesel Outlanders exist for years. No one will care to buy them this side of the pond, because of price I think.
