Do you mean from< or copy to >MMCS?.
If you want to copy to> just burn your MP3 files onto a CD, insert in drive and then it should automatically copy them to the hard drive.
Hope that helps

It will only do that if you rip your MP3s back to CDA format when you burn it to the disc. Otherwise, the 30GB MMCS will not do a direct MP3 to HDD copy. I saw posts claiming that the newer 40GB models are able to do a direct MP3 to HDD copy, but not confirmed.

Only the new 2009 Outlanders with the 40gb HD can rip mp3's from a disc. Otherwise it can only rip from CD-Audio discs.
Yes the HD can be unlocked... theres a thread about doing so. But no one yet has figured out how to just transfer mp3's onto the HD while unlocked. Something about the MMCS converts to a strange file type. Its been talked about in the l-o-n-g DVD in Motion thread.

Ok, so we need someone with a 2009 outlander to pull their hard drive and upload their "loading.kwi" and any other relevant files. I'd be willing to bet we could find a way to upgrade the older MMCS units to the newest software.

Going by my memory, the MMCS will not rip DVD Audio to MP3s, but it will play DVD Audio if made with a certain DVD blank (I think DVD+R). Haven't done it personally though.

Sorry folks but I regret to let you know that my new 2009 outlander with 40 GB does noT rip mp3 to the Harddisk. I have seen also that someone claimed it should do it but i have the latest mmcs delivererd 29-11-2008 with the 40 GB HD but its behaves the same as the 30 GB MMCS.
I asked my dealer for the official release notes of the new system but he does/did not respond so need to call him .
If someone has other experience pls put it here !
