DPF Problem
Hi guys I've got a Mitsubishi Outlander 2007 2.2 Diesel.2 years ago I had a brand new additive fitted by Mitsubishi as I had my last one ripped off.On Sunday after a round trip of 200 miles after I stopped for fuel the DPF symbol came up on my dash,I was told by various people this is normal but it's never come up before. It went into my local garage today but they can't get any fault codes at all.Ive been told it's doubtful if it's the DPF but more likely to be the sensor that controls it...any thoughts...thanks in advance.

If yo see the symbol shown in the first post, make sure you still have additive in the pouch.
If not, change the pouch/tank or refill it with INFINEUM F7995 / EOLYS 176.
Then go to a dealer or to someone who has a genuine / full-feature diagnose computer for your Outlander/C-Crosser/4007 and ask him to reset the additive level to full and to initiate a forced DPF regeneration (cleaning) sequence.
It lasts for a few minutes and the computer will rev your engine to different rpms, meanwhile reading the sensors and revving accordingly.
At the end there are big chances to have your DPF like almost new.
If not, at least you'll know how clogged it is (in %) and for how long can you use it (approx).
I did this DPF regeneration at around ~180.000km / 110.000miles and at the end it was completely clean.

Hey there! I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to offer some advice regarding your DPF problem with your Mitsubishi Outlander. It's possible that the issue is not with the DPF itself but rather with the sensor that controls it. Before doing anything drastic, try checking if you still have additives in the pouch. If not, you can either change the pouch or refill it with INFINEUM F7995 / EOLYS 176. After that, take your car to a dealer or someone who has a full-feature diagnose computer for your Outlander, and ask them to reset the additive level to full and initiate a forced DPF regeneration sequence. This will clean your DPF and give you an idea of how clogged it is. You can also try duramax dpf cleaning for this.
