Default Drilling for LED`s in the inner tail lights

Anybody done this?

I know I hvae seen a guy in Japan who did this.

Got me an extra set of the inners, and want to open them and put LED`s in the concave areaes.

Any tips how to open the lights without cracking the plastic?

Also, I could use a wiering guide

Thanks.

I thought of doing it too. Since you have them on hand could you take close-up shots of the sides and edges and post them here?
I'm lazy to remove mine. Wiring guide will be easy enough, given you can handlea soldering iron.

Could you post a picture of what your end product may look like?

Cause if it's just the tail lights like I think I am imagining them, my Outlander already has LEDs in place...

He's talking about doing this:

Adding LED's to the housing that has the reverse lights in them. Myself (maybe most of us) thought that when I first saw that Outlander that there was lights there in the first place, only to be dissapointed later...

I'll agree with you on that one!! [:@]
I was told by the salesman at the dealership That the Outlander had LEDs all over and it doesn't
[>:] I wish I could sue them...oh, I am pissed!

Not the soldering I worry about, but the resistors and where to put the normal diodes because I want the LED`s to funcion like the originals. As in shining brighter when I brake.......

Pictures are probably coming when I get the time to start the project.

Got to order some LED`s too, ebay here I come

Nice, but me personally would like to fill all the "spots" with LED`s.

Also they apear less bright than the originals.

Are they hook up to the brake light also?

Do you know what size and w he used?

Thanks, it looks really cool
