Just turn ASC off and put S-AWC into Lock. Using 1st or 2nd gear in manual mode might be helpful as well.

You still have a manual mode (paddle shifters).

Don't know what that is...where are you from if i may ask? As far as i know the Cdn model GT S-AWC only comes with a 6 speed auto tranny with paddle shifters but other countries probably have other options.

im a hippy. And i enjoy going to the beach with my kids.
So i have to ask. WHY??
Save cars for the damn road.
Enough damage is done, as is, without bloody townies wrecking the beach by driving it in ignorance..

75 Mile Beach on Fraser Island is a gazetted highway; does that mean it shouldn't be driven on "in ignorance"? The entire island is essentially one big beach, how is anyone supposed to get around?
There are usually laws as to which beaches you can drive on, and often you have to pay to be able to drive on them. Yes most beaches shouldn't be driven on, but there are legitimate areas to do so, and as such such an attack is out of line.
