Dust boot cover
Hi just wanted to get opinion on dust boot cover.. i went for service today and they found the front dust boot cover is torn.. should i be worried and get it changed eventually or just leave it as is? I believe my dealership is charging around $600 ish to replace both front dust boot cover which i find too expensive...
My rear sway bar bushing is causing squeaking in the back so i think id prioritize that one first over the dust boot cover...

allowing grease to escape makes a mess of your engine compartment (which can conceal other issues during visual inspection) with less grease there is more room for road grit and dirt to get inside the boot which will cause CV joint failure in record time, now that's way more expensive when they want you to but a whole new axle because most places just do that now, it is a pain to put new boots on, hence the $600 but it's still cheaper than the alternative
