Hi to all!

I finally tried to "upgrade" my car (2.0 DI-D Instyle +navi) with this CD:
Outlander Update CD, NR261-EM, Software version Version E, DVD in motion allowed

Before update data was:
SW Version: F
Loader NR-261EM 1.09
Aplication 00.31.08

After "update" i got this data:
SW Version: E
Loader NR-261EM 1.09
Aplication 00.31.06

With that, I was actually downgraded the software, but the DVD plays with picture.
I didn`t notice anything missing from previous version.
If somebody have a newer version, please share...

Zox.

Hi,
I'm from Australia and we're a little backwards down here.... what with riding Kangaroo's and everything. I've checked outa few Aust forums for this patch and they all direct me back here. What am I doing wrong? I've downloaded the file MMCS-E-DVD.rar and I used winzop and it converted it to MMCS-E-DVD.iso. I burnt it a CD and stuck it in and it said check disc. I tried it on a DVD with the same result. I even tried it in the SatNav slot below the cd slot to no avail. Start again and speak very slowly.
PM me if you don't want to jam the post with garbage.

Thanks

Updating procedure
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
1. Extract files from archive.
2. Burn the ISO file on a blank, fresh CD (in NERO, Menu -> Recorder -> Burn Image)
3. Start the engine and insert the burned CD into MMCS' unit
4. Wait for it to check the disk and to start the upgrade procedure. It may take up to a minute do make the checks.
5. Wait for the update procedure to finish. This will take 3 to 5 minutes. At the end the unit will reboot.
6. After start, you will be prompted AGAIN to update. Choose NO, the unit is already updated.
7. Remove the CD.
8. Drive carefully while enjoying your DVD movie

Tried again, same result. Check disk.
A. When I unzip I geta MMCS-E-DVD.iso file. Is this correct and all I burn, and
B. I'm not sure what software version I'm running. It's in a Lancer but I'm sure they're all the same unit. Maybe I have a different software version and this is the problem?
P.S. I didn't have the engine running just of ACC. Do I have to have it running? I didn't think it would make a difference

I am a newone so, dear fellows, otaku, brian, zox rocsin & all the rest of you...... fantastic job & information u gave us.
Have an Out.08 2.4 CVT Instyle, that is fully loaded at least here in Athens Greece. I applied the "in motion" patch
on my mmcs BLD#261EM 1.09, applic. 00.31.06 and all went so smoth!!! Now every body can enjoy a DVD in motion
less my self.... cause I am driving. Hope you will soon find a patch for the aux A/V inputs (which thanks to u again I found
hidden under the middle arm rest & acivated them by adding RCA inputs)
Thanks a lot to every body.

@Cyric313
I think you could do it with CD mentioned few post earlier, and you get only lower aplication version (Aplication 00.31.06) but you will have a picture while driving.

Zox.

PS. We are waiting for some new updates from Otaku who is the king for that....

Well, it appears from here that those with the EM versions can do the hack with versions newer then the hack version and it will work. Those that have the UM version can't use the hack if you have a version newer then the 30.94. Least it looks like that from reading these post.
I'm sad, cuz I have the 30.99 UM version and no hacky.
Otaku, you need fresh donations?
