DOUBLE CHECK THAT DOWNLOADED FILE IS OK & BURNING OF THE ISO IS VERIFIED BY THE PROGRAM U USE ( I USED ROXIO CREATOR & TDK CD-R80).

 

@Cyric Actually, I got an error message from winzip,when extracting a "MMCS-E-DVD.rar" file, "Invalid or corrupt authenticity information" but I burned that .iso to a CD without anyproblem. Do you wait a minute-two when "checking disc" is displayed?

I got the same "invalid/corrupt" message but I also burned the ISO whithout problem and use it on my 216EM 1.09 appl.00.31.06 with perfect results.

 

I have an 08 Lancer w/ version 00.20.68 navi unit. I followed the patch as described, but when I pop the CD in it says.."Insert product up key into KEY slot"...Does anybody have any idea how to get past this screen...please help! Do I have to go to the dealer to get this "key"...does something have to be plugged into the jack in the bottom of the nav screen when it flips out?...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Sorry I have no idea, one thing for sure the dealer wan't give u a key in order to apply the "patch"... the jack is for a "key" but from what I know is for GPS map updates.

 

I think you just downloaded the wrong patch file. The correct patches are on rcostin's website. The "upgrade key" is for a total map upgrade, not the dvd in motion upgrade.

 

Tried to do the upgrade, I have: Loader: BLD-NR-261EM 1.09 and Application: 00.31.06 in a -08 Outlander bought new in Norway.

Did as the readme file said, but I made the disc in roxario as others have done and had success with.

But not me, MMC told me "cheching disc" and then "check the disc"

Will try burning in NERO ASAP

 

I am much surprised, Elzouavo & myself have the same unit particulars as yours & patch worked fine. Did you follow exactly the procedure described by Zox in previous page 6?? Try to use a different copy program & a different brand of cd, I used TDK CD-R80.

 

Have DL Nero now, wil try again

 

New disc madewith Nero, works great.
