By todays standards, the dash doesnt flow at all. It reminds me of the boxiness of early '90s pickups.
Interiors will be subject to opinions just like exteriors. I, personally, don't seem to care TOO much about interior design. One thing I always notice in cars is the QUALITY of the materials. I hate cheap ****! Especially if you can tell they spent more time/money making it look flashy than they did making it work properly.
In my opinion, the best looking Outlanders were the 2007-2009 US models. The 2010 revision with the Evo inspired front end was the first step backwards, and now this new redesign is just another step in the wrong direction... The Evo nose looks good on the lower to the ground Lancer and Outlander Sport but Outlander is too tall for it. The Evo inspired Outlanders weren't selling so Mitsu had to change the design direction but who the heck approved the new one?!? I mean, it had to go through designers, bean counters, marketing... No one said no? When compared to the new Ford, Honda, Kia, Hyundai, Mazda, I just don't see how this new Outlander will be a success unless Mitsubshi will price them few grand lower which I doubt...
And yes, Mitsu should put the 2.4l engine in Outlander Sport, that is the only real weak link of an otherwise very competitive vehicle... Speaking of engines, the 2.4l engine in 2014 Outlander is a partially new design codenamed 4J12. Its a 16 valve SOHC design with revised MIVEC as opposed to the current 4B12 DOHC. Supposedly it is more quiet, accelerates better, and returns better MPGs...

i originally loved the 2009-2012 because it look like a big lancer and the split tailgate and in most reviews everybody loves the split tail gate so why get rid of that best thing every for loading camping gear into to get away for the weekend well that is what i think
I saw a new one available for rent from AVIS in australia
Only got a glance, unfortunately didn't look very good from the back and side. I was hoping in person looked better than pictures but it turns out, it looked worse in person.
The body line seems to be gone but not in a sleek way.
