Gas mileage????
Hello, yesterday I went to fill up my Outie, I put 30,15Liter and drive 160 Km. So this give me 18,84 L/100Km. That's the most terrible gas fill that I ever get. That Outie isn't an economic SUV. What is about your gas mileage??

RE: Gas mileage????
11.1L to 12.3L/100km with the Auto AWD for a totalof around 300km just under the 1/2 tank mark as I never go lower then that driving in the City only, in the cold winter time I did not check but might be a little more when it't really cold !

RE: Gas mileage????
I track my gas mileage religiously. Now I've only had one fillup on the Outie where I can actually track, but that fillup I averaged 15.91 L/100km (or 14.79mpg for our american friends). I'm about at the point where I need to fillup again, and KM wise it's definitely not looking good - probably about the same. I upgraded from a civic where I averaged 9.29L/100km (25.41mpg) so this is really hitting my wallet a lot harder than I thought. I do mainly city driving (to and from work in rush hour). I just barely over 1000km in the Outie right now so I'm hoping it gets better, but if it stays around the 15L/100km range and gas prices go up again I'm screwed!!

RE: Gas mileage????
It really depends on the roads I use, at this time of year, I typically use the car about km a day, driving the kids to school and daycare, I work from home. That drive has a lot of stop signs so these days I get about 19L/100km. If I need to extend my routine and drive to a mall or something I'll probably get around 14L/100km. On the highway I might get about 10.5-11L/100km.
In the summer I'll get about 20% better mileage, I had a Mazda Protegé before, and I would say that the Outlander is about 20-25% less fuel efficient.

v6 or i4?
either way it should not be that bad.
i set my display of the real time mpg display and coordinate my foot accordingly when accelerating. it has really helped me practice not to be heavy footed.

RE: Gas mileage????
My latest fill up was 17.1L/100km. Temperature is a major factor. Here in Regina, Saskatchewan, we've been -28 C and below for about a month and a half now. I was actually getting 18L/100km this time last year when I purchased the vehicle, so its improved somewhat. Getting around in Regina only takes about 15 minutes or less, so by the time the vehicle has warmed up to normal operating conditions, I'm already at my destination, and I don't get to take advantage of a warmer vehicle.

RE: Gas mileage????
I'm glad to see that I am not the only one with poor gas mileage. When I bought the Outie, I tought it would be better, every reviews that I read on the net (edmunds...) have good result about gas but after putting 6000KM , now I could say that the Outie is as bad as other an is a real gas guzzer....
