Talking Good tire for 08 Outie ?

Im at 86 000 km right now

Is there a good all season tire that dont wear very fast for the outlander ?
im on my 3 all season tire ( 4 one for winter first time this winter, and still fine for next years )
1x OEM tire did not last 25 000, lol
2x time Scorpion STR ( that suppose to last for 100 000 ) and now my are getting low already .
And yes i rotate my tire and stuff, i dont know i maybe have a heavy foot

So i kill 3 tire in less then 85 000 $, lol

So my question is, any Tire that will actualy last more then that ?

Thanks

P.S.
My outie is a 08 LS P215/70R16

I recently replaced the OEM Yokohama tires with BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A Touring tires (P215/70R16) size. They are rated highly on Discount tires website. Also the General Grabber HTS tires are rated highly by both Tirerack and Consumer Reports.

We put some bridgestone duelers on ours...they work great, but gas mileage went down. Stay with passenger rated tires.

I have the 18" on mine but after getting 20km out of my Eagles I switched to Michelin Hydro Edge. They cost a bit more but they have a 130,000 km warranty. I have a friend that uses them and loves them.

I have the Toyo Open Country H/T 235/70/16 on my Outlander and the wear well and grip great in the wet and dry as well as snow. They are very quiet and fit standard rims as well as making your speedo spot on. 30,000 k and still no appreciable wear. Stock tyres lasted less than 20,000k

Hey there,

I am going to have to replace the stock tires soon too (Yoko geolander). These are the 215/70/16.

I want to get a wider tire, but am not sure if the height has to change as well - I heard it did. Would 235/70/16 work just as well as the 235/65/16?

Does changing the tire width and dimensions screw up the warranty of the vehicle in any way?

Thanks all!

changing tire size should not void the warranty. unless maybe you ran different sizes on each side of the vehicle and messed up the CV axles or differential somehow...

for tire fitment questions, I always consult the miata.net tire size calculator:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

it looks like the 235/65/16 will be closer to your stock size, but with the amount of clearance the outlander has in the fender wells you should easily be able to fit a 235/70/16.... However, i honestly wouldn't run a 235 tire without having at least a 7.5" wide wheel... if the stock wheels are only 7" or less, i would stick with something in the 215-225 range

The 235/70/16 tyres fit the stock alloy wheels without a problem and it will correct your speedo error. There is ample wheel well clearance and you can still fit chains if needed. Ride height increased by 15mm.

Once you replace your tyres with 235/70/16 then you can't use your stock temp use tyre or it can wreck the gearbox as it is a different diameter. You will need a 205/80/16 to keep the same diameter or replace the spare with a full size tyre. A new model Lancer rim fits. I have gone for the Lancer rim with a Bridgestone 205/80/16 which I picked up new on eBay for $25+$25 del. It doesn't even look like a temp spare.
