Did you go to the dealer ?
i have a 2008 outlander, and that same thing appen this morning.
i have the fast key, and i try also with the normal key and did not work to.
i have to try like 10 time before it start.
now it work great but maybe that will came back ...

Flick your wrist to the on/off position. Making it click really fast. That should make it start faster.
Its a sticking starter. They do that when they get too cold.
