Help!!!! 2011 Outlander - Flooding
This is my first time on this board. I bought a 2011 Outlander Sport exactly one year ago today. I am having a big problem and I need the advice of other Outlander owners. I live in Florida and about six months ago I was caught in a down pour, went thru a puddle, and I got flooding on the rear driver/passenger floor. I thought that was odd, so I went to the dealer and asked if there was a problem with the car (recall). They said no and referred me to the parts division. The parts division stated there was nothing wrong with the car (there were no holes/entry points where the water could be coming from) and that it was driver error. I complained but they did not budge. I paid over $250.00 out of pocket for the repairs. Now, it has happended again. I refuse to believe that a SUV can't handle a puddle (this time it was a small puddle). I drive around Miami afraid of puddles. Has anyone had this problem? Please help.

How bad was the flooding? Are you talking about standing water or the carpet being damp. Assuming you don't have any holes in the underbody of the vehicle, which I would hope the dealer checked, I suspect the rubber seals on the bottom of the back doors or the back part of the front doors might not be sealing properly. You could try spraying a small amount of water right where the door meets the body to see if any is getting through.
If some gets through then you could show the dealer where the problem is.
