For the Fourth of July I am going to the beach but I need to know if the outlander can handle driving on the sand... The signs say 4 wheel drive vehicles only but I wonder of AWD could make it..... If anyone has tried let me know.... If anyone knows the answer let me know... thanks guys.. happy 4th guys..............

u will be perfectly fine. all that a 4x4 is, is the ability to turn it off and on it is the exact same thing as a awd except on the awd the option to turn it off is eliminated, but if u do get stuck lower the tire pressure a bit and almost slingshot the car out of the whole and be ready for it to shoot out

I got stuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually I came in fine.... went all the way in to the beach about 1.5 mile then on my way out I got stuck twice... It seems like the tracks were dug in too deep by then by all the traffic.... but all in all it was fun and remember take some tow rope or something just in case... here are some pics for you guys to laugh at... its too bad I want to raise the car and put bigger tires but they dont make lifting kits for this car... oh well... enjoy..
