Help wanted with a 2005 outlander LS
Hey everyone,
Brand new here—just found the forum today and hoping someone’s dealt with this before.

At my wits’ end here. If anyone’s seen Code 36 / TCC issueson these, I’d love to hear how you fixed it.
Thanks in advance!

I’ve got a 2005 Outlander AWD, 4G69, 4-speed auto. Picked it up cheap a few months back… now I kinda know why 😅.
The issue:
- Throws Code 36 – DCC SOLOPEN
- Happens ~2 mins into a drive: car shudders, goes into limp mode, N starts blinking
- Scanner always points to the TCC solenoid
What I’ve tried:
- Checked all solenoids (resistance, visual, actuation, swapping) – issue persists
- Checked wiring: pin 10 ↔ 7 on trans harness, PCM side, no breaks
- Tried a wire overlay: PCM pin 130 → trans pin 7
- Trans fluid changed <500 km ago (problem existed before fluid change)
At my wits’ end here. If anyone’s seen Code 36 / TCC issueson these, I’d love to hear how you fixed it.
Thanks in advance!
