Default Helper springs for towing

Hi..

Since the trialer hitch issue is now nine pages in length, and absolutely excellently covered ( I installed a Curt, and found a harness thanks to the help of the thread...)

anyhow, I pull approx 2,880 lbs (a HP Triumph Spitfire) to include a trailer and more than likely will need a little lift at the back end (every vehicle for the past 25 years has needed this assist..)

Has anyone had any luck with a desired installation..

I saw one on JC Whitney, which was a spring that surronded the shock absorber.. looked pretty good and inexpensive, but, may interfere with the ride at all times..

Anyone try an air lift bladder within the
coil.. if so, how did it work, and how much of an effort to install....

Last question, this is the first FWD automobile aI have towed with.. would it be more stable if I ran it in AWD??

thanks for your help...

Default From my previous posts:

you can get airbags that fit inside the rear coils of the outlander. The firestone coilrite 4106 kit should fit and has been used by someone here. The number shown by firestone is 4182.

I installed a set on my sienna in about 1.5 hours. the outlander shouldn't take longer.
