We just came back from a long drive and mostly did highway speeds of 100-120Km/h and my wife said we seems to be running so slow. Getting that kind of comment from your wife just really shows how great the Outie isas a cruiser.

We also went to a bit of unsealed road driving and no complaints from the passengers including in the third row seats. Played with the AWD system and the Outie handled it so well. Can't wait to do more of the same in the future.

The way this engine's exhaust note is tuned, it always sounds like it's spinning slowly(rumbly sound) even above 3000rpm the exhaust note makes the vehicle sound like it's running slowly.

It should, it's on 6th gear, and RPMs hover at 1200 to 1300. That's only a few hundred RPMs above idle.(<- talking about cruising at high speeds)

Yeah, it's pretty smooth. Sometimes it gets away from me if I'm not using cruise control. Found myself going 95 the other day. Since no one was around me,I had no idea.

I'm pretty sure at 60mph/100kmh the engine is turning 1800rpm in 6th gear(3l engine). My Sienna is 1850rpm (3.3l, 230hp)in fifth at 60mph and there is almost no sound from the engine/exhaust at all. The outlander "rumbles" a bit at that speed which makes it feel like it's turning slower.

Speed limits in most of the roads I drive go only up to 55, and that's almost the same as what Mitsubishi recommends the optimum speed for crusing for the best fuel economy.

I got my 07 outlander up to 112mph and it felt great...That is until I wizzed past a state trooper. He made a u-turn but did not pull me over...Lucky I guess.

it's not luck, he couldn't have clocked you going in the opposite direction. If you slowed down after u-turn and he caught up with you he can't really prove anything.
