Default higher mileage outlanders

Hi, still searching for an older outlander. There is an 05 with 90k miles. I know the engine is good many more miles, as well as tranny (assuming it was taken care of) but at this kind of mileage, can I expect a lot of issues with suspension parts or anything else that can start to nickle and dime me? Looks to be in great shape from photos, one owner car fax. Asking around 8500 which seems reasonable.
any thoughts? thanks

I have an 05 Outlander with manual tranny. I bought mine last Jan from a family that no longer needs the car. It had 105k miles when I bought it and since then I put in 7k with my long commute to work. The owner before me had a problem with the tranny so he put in a new one. He gave me the receipt for the job and it cost him $960 together with new timing belt and water pump. Maintenance was done regularly from other receipts that he gave me. Im loving it and it drives like a brand new car.

90k miles is average for that year. As long as proper maintenance has been done and its been taken care of, i dont see why not to buy it. Mind if I ask how much is the asking price? Make sure to test drive and take it on the freeway. Ask if the timing belt and waterpump has been change s well. Goodluck!

Thanks for the reply and nice looking ride you have. I like the upgraded roof rack.
The asking price is $8500 which is pretty low compared to everythign else in my area. It is a one owner based on car fax but it does not have a detailed service history. It does list several vehicle serviced dates but not sure what was done.
I am going to see it Monday, not sure if there are any service records such as timing belt being changed etc.
I am not crazy about the color of it but if everything else checks out, and if i get a decent trade in value I may pull the trigger and get the 05.
your info is helpful, thanks

That's a very nice color. Sort of like a gunmetal color. Yeah just make sure the timing belt and water pump has been replaced especially for the mileage. Other than having an oil change and tranny flush today, I have no problems with what so ever. Im enjoying every minute of it when I ride my Outy.

swoosh, very nice... I see the little details on yours that sets it off plus silver is my favorite color. I am not a fan of grays which is what the one I am going to look at is, just not a color I like at all but would not let that stop me if everything else is right..

not sure where you are at but if you are near PA, search for cars near reading PA, there are some in your year and price range. zip 19601.
