You have to take off the 2 vents next to the radio. They pop off from the bottom and then you should find the bolts behind the vents to start you off. I dont know how deep it is behind the stock head unit. I would think that you could fit a pioneer head unit in there.

I personally dont know who sells the kit to change it to a 1 din. You should try www.crutchfield.com or http://www.cardomain.com/shop. Maybe do some researching online or contact pioneer. If they dont have anything listed online you can email them or call them and talk to someone directly. These companies are out of the USA, I dont know anyone from where you are at sorry.

Ditto what antlip said... Crutchfield is really good for this type of thing, and there is a ton of room in the dash.

Unfortunately when I checked with Crutchfield on the 07' Outie, they say that they don't have a dash kit, and to top it off - they don't even have wiring harness. They say you will need to 'fabricate' a mount, and will need to 'splice' into factory wiring. That's just from the web page though. After a while, I decided to just stick with the stock head unit to maintain the clean appearance, so hadn't bothered to call and dig deeper... might be worth a shot.
Note that there are a lot of wires coming out of the head unit (many more than 8speaker wires and a couple power wires)... so if you ditch it for an aftermarket one, I don't know how it would work.

The closest thing I did find was this link (someone else discovered... forget who):
http://www.poweraxel.com/ralliart/ca...age/s4-1_3.jpg
Unfortunately, the main page is in japanese... and even more unfortunately, IMHO, it looks like crap.

Let us know if you do any better than I've been able to, and good luck.

HAHA Im going to email my dealer this part number (オーディオレス2DIN用アクセントパムル). Good luck with the project. Do you have the standard radio or navigation? Do you have the speaker set up with the sub and amp?

In my outlander version, there is a standard radio without sub and ampli. If it's possible, i will put my pioneer avic-x1 with ampli and Alpine Sub.

I sent an email to Poweraxel, wait and see !

On Subject: Good luck in getting that trim ring. I searched and was unable to find any kits. Hopefully as the popularity of these vehicles increase we will get some better aftermarket parts selection.

Off Subject: I was just in Luxembourg in May on business for a week. Beautiful country and incredibly clean. The food that I was exposed to was incredible. I look foward to returning if I get the chance. My associates and I drove a company owned Land Rover Range Rover while we were there. Talk about feeling out of place. That was the equivalent of driving a Ford Excursion here in the states.

I was thinking about buying the dash trim piece and modifying that first. Then I'd always have an undamagedstock part. My wife works for Mitchell International. They publishbooks for insurance claims estimation that have every conceivable part for every version or option for every car. When I get the book, I'll post up the part numbers for the trim pieces.
