How to unlock MMCS
i own a pajero 2008, with mmcs (loader BLD-NR-261EM V1.09)
i followed step by step the instructions given by rcostin at the very first post :
i removed the hdd and i made a bootable cd containing xboxhdm. Then i connected the hdd to my laptop (single drive) and booted from the cd with option 3. with linux. so far so good ...
i run the unlockhd command -p (including each and every password i found in this forum)... but....zip, niente nothing ! everytime the result is the same :
HDD serial number : "something"
HDD firmware revision : "something"
HDD model : TOSHIBA MK3029GAC
Security supported : Yes
Security enabled : Yes
Security locked : Yes
Security frozen : No
Security count expired : Yes
then i also rub the fdisk -l command and....of course nothing happend!!
any help will be much appreciated!!

Hi!
Perhaps a stupid question, but... Is your HDD still working in your car?
Because I had one HDD with the same symptoms than yours... HDD out of order!...

So many scenarios... Ultimately you need to use another PC. An old desktop possibly that you can ESC past the bios password prompts.
The following is do at you own risk. - I especially don't want to see in the News "Stereo hack attempt with freak 12 volt accident that killed him trying to remove a hard drive while turned on.... Advice gotten from forum".
But that is basically what you will have to do if you want to use that particular machine.
Boot with the original HDD with xboxhdm boot disk.
push 3 I think the option was but don't push enter.
pull out the HDD and connect MMCS HDD carefully but quickly and gently (if you can do that at the same time) so you don't short etc. push enter and carry on.
Don't blame me if it goes wrong :-) but she'll-be-right-mate ;-)

Ive got to stop answering these things as I never get time to follow them up.
If your HDD definitely works in the MMCS then I'd now try a different PC

I am from New Zealand and did the unlock HDD and converted my japanese to english mmcs. All is good but I can't figure out how to get the local time here. I am getting the American time zones. Can anyone please help? Cheers.
I think you need to remove the gps antenna connector and you should able to set your time zone manually.
