Default How to wire audi style front leds?

I have bought audi style side emitting Leds to install them just under my front lights.

The problem is that i want them to come on as soon as i start the car and turn off when i turn off the car.

I think that they will need to be wired to the acc/accessory. So when i turn the ignition to acc they will turn on.

Can anyone please shoe me how to do this? I have read a thread about others who have done this but it is not explained how they wired it

any help is appreciated

thanks

I think I agree with ryandlor's comment

However, should you wish to install them, you will need to find an accessory wire as you correctly stated. There is probably one somewhere under the hood, but I am not sure where. One option is the cigarette lighter. You could splice directly into this. As far as I am aware LEDs draw very little power, so I expect you would be ok doing this.

Alternatively, you could search around for a different acc wire under the hood - If you have daytime running headlights, then there is your easiest solution - they go on and off with the ignition. You just need a voltmeter or test bulb and a bit of patience!

Once you find your acc wire, splice into it for the positive terminal of your LEDs. For the negative, just earth it to any bit of bare metal on the vehicle.

Alot of auto companies beside VW which is Audi/Porshe are doing the same type of style for their vehicles, Among those are Ford, Kia, Lexus. Those are beautiful lights and help keep people safe.

Try YouTube, that's how I found out how to hook up mines, I just wired them to my parking/city lights, I wanted them to come on just by turning the headlight switch on. The sweet part is they come on when I lock the car to.
