lol, yeah, yeah, the obligatory speech, I know.
The fastest I have ever been was speedo max'd at 125 in my 79 Camaro. I was probably 135-140. Without ABS that was a really dumb move on my behalf, it would have taken me 6 miles to slow that beast down...lol.

It was such an awesome feeling...hearing the exhaust rush out the headers at 5000RPM's, moving by the two cars on the highway like they were standing still- I know that car generated some wind as I passed by them too...had to suck to be those guys. BTW, I can generally only get to 100MPH out here due to traffic everywhere all the time, but I feel really comfortable and stable in the car at that speed- as long as I don't need to stop or turn a sharp corner...

 

yeah the outlander is very stable at high speeds has to be one of the best sport utes out there....

 

hey 06, nice pic's!!! as for 'speed,' i've only been up to about 80 with the engine really growling with the new intake, but nowhere around here to go much faster without seriously worrying about the 'heat'....

 

fortunately in SoCal, nobody does the speed limit on the freeways, so if I see a couple Hondas blazing down the freeway at night, I give them a few seconds lead time and let my car stretch it's legs- that and I have a radar/laser detector which works very well. As lond as I have a few seconds reaction time (which is why I give them a few seconds lead time) I'll get their laser or radar hit registering on my detector and slow down to the speed limit. Again I do not condone speeding or disobeying local traffic laws, I've just found a good system for me to not get a ticket
